Bright Suns, Sarah!
Looks like you'll be spending some time at
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during your upcoming vacation. Whether you spend the day bounty hunting or just strolling through with a
Green Milk and
Ronto Wrap, you'll be fully immersed in the excitement of this galaxy far, far away.
If you're planning to stop at
Droid Depot as you explore Black Spire Outpost, you're in for an added treat. My children had the best time building their own BB-Series Custom Astromech Units a few years back. They were able to select their favorite colors and were awed as they watched their droid come to life. The activated droids were packaged into a convenient box with a top handle, but I've seen droid backpacks available for an additional fee as well.
We had an evening reservation so the kids didn't have to carry their completed droids around for a full day of fun, but I can understand not wanting to transport your droid around
Disneyland Park for the rest of your day. If you're a guest of a Disneyland Resort Hotel you can have your purchase
delivered to Bell Services for pick up the following day, or take advantage of the
complimentary package check service while you are having adventures in other areas of the park. If you'd like to store your droid along with personal items like a change of clothes,
locker rentals are available on Main Street, U.S.A., and in the Esplanade just outside the Main Entrance for your convenience.
When it's time to venture back to your home planet you should be able to transport your droid as a
carry-on item for your flight. The units should fit in the overhead bins, but it's always a good idea to reach out to your airline to confirm sizing and review a list of prohibited items before your flight. You can also inquire about
shipping your droid directly to your home from
First Order Cargo, as my fellow panelist Tony explains.
Sarah, I hope this helps prepare you for an out-of-this-world adventure. Come back and see us again here at planDisney with any additional questions.
'Til the spire,
Amy
