Greetings, Louis, and welcome to planDisney!
It’s great that you want to utilize
Disney Gift Cards during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. My husband and I use Disney Gift Cards exclusively to pay for purchases during our trips since they are secure and reloadable, so I think you are making a wise decision. I suggest you set up an account on the
Disney Gift Card website ahead of time (use the same login credentials as your
My Disney Experience account) so you can save the details of the gift cards you’ll be using to your account. If you somehow lose one of your gift cards, you can easily transfer the balance from the missing gift card to another saved gift card in your account. You can also
consolidate smaller denomination gift cards onto one gift card for ease of use and so you don’t have a wallet full of gift cards you have to keep up with. If you run out of funds on your Disney Gift Card, you can absolutely
reload it at any Disney-owned merchandise locations on property that sell Disney Gift Cards for a maximum balance of $1,000. And, yes, your Target-purchased Disney Gift Card is eligible to be reloaded in this manner.
Louis, I hope this information helps you breathe a great, big, beautiful sigh of relief. If you think of any other questions for your upcoming trip, please stop by planDisney again and let us know.
Tomorrow is just a dream away,
Alyssa
