Hei Hei there, Irene.
What can I say except you're welcome here at planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed out to find where the sky meets the sea and found your way here today. It sounds like you have a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth on the horizon. How exciting!
My husband and I always use Disney Gift Cards to pay for our Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so I would be happy to answer your question. Because you can only use
one payment method at a time to pay for purchases on the Walt Disney World Resort website, including theme park tickets, the first thing you’ll want to do is head over to the
Disney Gift Card website and consolidate your Disney Gift Cards. You should be able to log in using your Disney account login credentials (what you use to log into your
My Disney Experience account), but you may have to set up an account to get started. Once you’re in, follow these steps to combine your gift cards. Remember, you can store up to six
Disney Gift Cards, each with a maximum balance of up to $1,000, in your account.
- Select “My Cards” from the menu, then click “Add a Card.” Once you input the card’s details, it will be saved to your account.
- Go back to “My Cards” and add another gift card.
- Head back to your “My Cards” page again. You will see the option to “Transfer Funds To This Card” under your saved gift card. Click on this to transfer the amount from other gift cards to your saved gift card. Be sure to select the “Yes & Delete Empty Cards” option when you complete your transfer.
- Continue consolidating until the saved gift card reaches a balance of $1,000.
Irene, be sure to mark your saved gift cards to distinguish them from the ones you emptied through the transfer process. If the tickets you wish to purchase total $1,000 or less, proceed with your purchase on the Walt Disney World Resort website. If the tickets will cost more than $1,000 and/or you need to use more than one Disney Gift Card to cover the cost, you will need to call (407) 939-7679 to make your purchase.
Well, Irene, I’m off to return the Heart of Te Fiti. Please stop by planDisney again if you have further questions before you set off on your Walt Disney World Resort adventure. There's no telling how far we'll go to find the answers you need.
