Welcome to planDisney, Barbara! I see that you are planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort and want to visit the parks for three days, sounds perfect! Before I tell you about the different ways to purchase your tickets, let's cover some of the things you will want to consider before making your purchase.
Theme Park Tickets are date-based, which means you will choose the specific day you would like to start your visit at the time of purchase. Then you will decide if you would like to visit one park per day, more than one theme park per day (Park Hopper Option), or if you want to visit multiple theme parks and a water park (Park Hopper Plus Option). As of January 9th, date-based tickets no longer require a park reservation, but park availability will depend on capacity limits. I always choose the Park Hopper Option because I like the flexibility of starting my day in one park, like the Magic Kingdom, and finishing in another, typically EPCOT so I can enjoy all the amazing food and drink options after a long day of walking!
Now that we have the hard decisions out of the way, you are ready to purchase your tickets! You can do it one of two ways: online via
Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets or on your mobile phone via
My Disney Experience App. If buying through the My Disney Experience App, you will tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the bottom right, tap Tickets and Passes, and then Select Tickets. From here you will follow the prompts and your tickets will be purchased and linked to your My Disney Experience account.
I hope this helps, Barbara. Feel free to
ask me a question directly, if you have any other planning needs for your upcoming vacation, I would be happy to help!
Thanks,
Brent
