My family just got a new set of
MagicBands+, with my not-so-little-one getting his first one ever. So, I'm just the gal to point you in the right direction. Although your trip seems to be a while away, let's not waste any time.
As long as your brother's
profile can be managed by your sister-in-law's account, she can assign his unlinked MagicBand+ to him. He doesn't need his own account or even his own downloaded
My Disney Experience app. For instance, I am able to link new MagicBands+ to my children and my adult family and friends all through my own account. All she has to do is tap his new MagicBand+ to the back of her phone, pull up Disney World's MDE app, and choose to assign it to him. Once it is assigned to him, it cannot be reassigned to another linked Guest. Of course, she'll be able to do the same with her own band as well.
