If my brother buys me & my 2 kids tickets for magic kingdom at his military base here in Jacksonville Florida, are we ok to use them? He would be buying 1 for me, my wife & 2 boys. 1 dap pass only. We’ve never been there, he goes 5x’s a year!

Hi, Elizabeth, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks to you and your family for your brother's military service, and how generous of him to host your family at Walt Disney World Resort soon. Let's look at how military theme park tickets typically work.

If your brother purchases tickets at his participating military base, he is probably eligible to buy up to six Disney Military Salute Tickets. He must use one of the tickets, so as long as he accompanies your family, you can enjoy some Disney magic together!

If he's an annual passholder, he would still have to purchase a Disney Military Salute Ticket along with the ones for you and your family, and he will show a valid military ID at the park entrance to activate the tickets. I hope this works out because it sounds like a fabulous opportunity for quality time with your brother!

One tip is to check into staying at Shades of Green. This resort is great for military families while visiting the theme parks. It's on Walt Disney World property and offers complimentary transportation to the theme parks. Tickets can also be purchased through Shades of Green, making it easy for those serving our country to plan a Disney vacation.

I'm sending up a big Mickey-sized salute to you and your family, and I hope your visit is all you're dreaming of. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
