My sister is a Florida resident and military and she is wanting to surprise my parents with tickets to Florida and Disney. Can she purchase them at Florida resident prices

Hi, Brittany, and welcome to planDisney. You have a generous sister! Giving the gift of Disney is one of the most incredible presents I can think of. Let's look at her options for showering your parents with magic.

Your sister enjoys many perks and benefits as a resident of Florida, but any resident theme park tickets she purchases must be for guests who can show valid proof of Florida residency. These specially priced tickets are intended for use by residents only, so anyone over 18 must show that they live in the Sunshine State when they use those tickets.

The good news is that she can book a Disney Resort Hotel stay using any available Florida discounts, and out-of-state guests are welcome to stay with her. My husband and I love the Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The lobby is stunning, and the Dahlia Lounge is perfect for a nightcap after a day at the theme parks.

If your sister qualifies for military offers, she can purchase up to six theme park tickets at special rates. She can find details at her local participating military base, or I suggest contacting Shades of Green for suggestions. The Cast Members at this military hotel on Walt Disney World Resort property will be happy to explain the ticket options your sister will have for her visit next year.

Brittany, I hope your family makes some memories to treasure in 2024 at Walt Disney World. I'm sure Mickey will be waiting with open arms! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
