Hello, my brother is active-duty military and is currently stationed and residing in SoCal. He is interested in purchasing the Imagine Key Pass, but we haven't been able to confirm if his military ID and proof of residency will suffice. Please advise!

Hey there, hi there, Marianna! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question!

I love that you are on a mission to help get your brother a Magic Key. I know so many are excited that sales are back open! My family is also an active-duty family stationed in southern California, so while we live here, aren't actually residents. This can be tricky in a lot of instances trying to share proof of residency. I am happy to share that your brother will just need to update his Disney account profile and make sure his current address is listed and is within the eligible zip codes for the Imagine Key. He would also have the option for monthly payments instead of paying in full. He won't need to prove residency at the gate when activating the ticket. As an active-duty member, he also can take advantage of Disney Military Promotional Tickets

I hope this means that you already have a Magic Key and are hoping your brother can start visiting the parks with you. When he gets his Magic Key, you will have to go celebrate and grab a reservation at Magic Key Terrace. I love taking a mid-day break here to enjoy the charcuterie board and a drink. If you are lucky and time your reservation around dusk, you may even have a view of the neon lights turning on in Radiator Springs.

Marianna, thanks so much for stopping by! See you real soon!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
