Can I bring a lightsaber I already have into the park?

Bright Suns, Taylor! From one Colorado Disneyland Resort fan to another, welcome to planDisney!

I am happy to share that yes, your galactic plans are good to go! If a selfie in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is on your mission list, you are welcome to bring your Lightsaber into the Disneyland Resort. Whether you built it previously at Savi’s Workshop or brought one from home, it is ready for its hero moment.

Keep in mind that while your Lightsaber is perfect for photos and showing off your Jedi or Sith vibes, it should stay unlit and secure while moving through the parks. Once you reach that perfect Batuu backdrop, feel free to ignite it and capture that out of this world shot. It is a great way to let your inner Force wielder shine!

If you decide you would rather not carry it around all day, you do have a great option. Lockers are available just outside the park entrances on the Esplanade and inside both theme parks. They are a perfect spot to safely store your Lightsaber while you go enjoy Attractions, grab a snack, or hop across the galaxy, or at least across the park.

It is also helpful to be mindful of certain Attractions where stowing a Lightsaber can be a bit tricky. Attractions with tighter seating or more movement, like Hyperspace Mountain, which is my favorite version of Space Mountain, or Matterhorn Bobsleds, can make it harder to keep it secure. For those adventures, using a locker beforehand can keep things easy and stress free so you can focus on the fun.

Once you are back in Batuu and ready to strike your best pose, feel free to ignite your Lightsaber and let your inner Jedi or Sith shine. It is one of those picture perfect moments that gives main character energy of your own Disney story.

Don't forget to check out Fire of the Rising Moons. I have a feeling this may be... dare I say... Taylor-made for you!

Taylor, I hope your day is filled with epic photos and unforgettable memories. These are the droids you are looking for! If more questions pop up as you plan, we are always here to help you navigate your adventure.

May the Force be with you and have a magical visit!
