    Can you bring food?

    Hey there, Patricia!

I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney, and thank you for bringing your question our way! It sounds like you'll be heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth very soon, which is so exciting! I love that you're checking off those last-minute questions now so you can feel prepared and ready to enjoy your vacation as soon as you arrive.

I’m happy to share with you that you’re welcome to bring your own food and nonalcoholic beverages into the theme parks for you and your family to enjoy! According to the Walt Disney World Resort Rules, there are just a few guidelines to keep in mind: your food can’t be in a glass container, require heating, reheating, processing, refrigeration, or temperature control, or have a strong or pungent odor.

I personally like to keep a few prepackaged snacks, like granola bars, tucked in my park bag for when hunger strikes. You’re also welcome to bring a refillable water bottle into the parks. When I need a refill, I’ll often stop by a Quick-Service location and ask for a free cup of ice water to fill my bottle. You can also find water bottle refill stations throughout the parks, and they’re easy to locate right in the My Disney Experience app. So, staying hydrated is nice and easy!

I think this is such an easy way to save a little money while you’re in the parks, then use the money I saved to treat myself to something yummy, like a DOLE Whip or a specialty coffee. It’s a win-win!

Patricia, I hope you have an absolutely wonderful visit! If any other questions pop up as you continue planning, you’re always welcome to swing by planDisney again.
