Hey there Susanna,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question!
This is one of those things that can make a big difference in how your day at the Disneyland Resort goes, so I'm glad you asked. The good news is that you can absolutely bring quite a bit with you into the parks, and knowing what's allowed ahead of time means you can pack smart and save some money too.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome inside the parks, as long as they don't require heating, are not in glass containers, and don't have a strong odor. Our family almost always brings a backpack with snacks and refillable water bottles for everyone. With two kids in tow, having our own snacks on hand means we're not stopping every 20 minutes for a pretzel - though, let's be honest, sometimes we stop for the pretzel anyway (especially if it's one of the seasonal ones). You can check the full
Outside Food in the Park FAQ on the Disneyland Resort website for specifics.
Beyond snacks, you can bring a stroller (up to 36 inches wide and 52 inches long), bags within certain specifications, and a camera.
What you cannot bring is worth knowing too. Prohibited items include alcohol, glass containers, hard-sided coolers, selfie sticks, and any weapons - including toy guns or realistic-looking weapons. You can find the full rundown on the
Disneyland Resort Park Rules page, which can be helpful to review before a trip.
When in doubt at the gates, Cast Members are genuinely helpful about walking you through what's okay and what needs to stay with your car or be discarded.
Thanks so much for your question, Susanna! I hope your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is absolutely incredible!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
