As a
Magic Key holder at the Disneyland Resort, you'd be joining one of the most magical families around! I absolutely love my Magic Key and everything that comes with it. I live in Colorado, so knowing I can hop into the
Disneyland Mobile App and grab a theme park reservation when I'm headed back to California to visit family is a huge perk. It means I don't have to factor the cost of a park ticket into every trip, which makes those family visits feel a little more pixie-dusted!
To upgrade an eligible theme park ticket that has been partially used to a Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass, head to the Tickets and Passes section of the Disneyland Mobile App. Locate the ticket you'd like to upgrade, scroll down, and tap "Upgrade to a Magic Key Pass." From there, follow the prompts to complete your purchase. If the ticket has already been partially used, this must be done on or before the last day of use. If the ticket hasn't been used at all, upgrades can only be completed in person at a Disneyland Resort ticket booth.
There are a
few important details to keep in mind:
• The Guest purchasing the upgrade must be the same Guest who used the ticket for theme park admission.
• Your Magic Key pass will be backdated to begin on the first day the original ticket was used.
• Existing park reservations linked to the ticket will not transfer to the new Magic Key pass. You'll need to make a new park reservation using your Magic Key before entering the parks.
Because of that last point, you'll want to either wait until your final park day and upgrade before midnight, or check reservation availability before making the switch.
I checked availability, and the Inspire Key is
currently available. That can change at any time, though, so once you've decided that a Magic Key is the right fit for your family's adventures, I'd recommend upgrading sooner rather than later to give yourself the best chance of securing the pass level you want.
