Hey there Julia,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question!
This is one of those practical planning details that can make a real difference in your day, especially if you're visiting with kids. The short answer is yes, you can bring a cooler into the Disneyland Resort parks! There are just a few guidelines to keep in mind.
Specifically, the
Park Rules and Regulations page states, "Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Re-usable ice packs are recommended."
Packing your own snacks and drinks is a fantastic strategy, and honestly one we use a lot in our family. Keeping the kids fueled between meals without having to stop for snacks every hour goes a long way toward keeping everyone happy on a long park day. We usually pack waters, easy snacks, and maybe a treat or two to tide us over between our bigger meals - although I pretty much can't say no to multiple churros per day during our visits. Especially when you've got a whole bunch of
delicious seasonal churros available throughout the Disneyland Resort!
One more helpful note: there are
water bottle refill stations throughout both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, so bringing reusable water bottles inside a soft cooler bag is a smart move for staying hydrated all day.
Thanks so much for your question, Julia! I hope this makes your planning just a little bit easier.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
