I would like to bring a backpack with water bottles, snacks and a sweater but I want to know if I can carry it with me throughout the park and on all the rides- not to have to leave it at the entrance? Don’t want to waste time going all the way back there.

    Hi Barbara,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a great question!

I used to be a proud member of team “NO BAGS” while visiting the Disney Parks because of the old “Guests Without Bags” line that used to allow me to skip the bag check line and head straight to the a Theme Park’s entrance! Now that entering the Park has become a little bit more streamlined (and speedy!), I’ve recently gotten into the habit of carrying a backpack with some essentials and some “just in case” items for my day.

I’m happy to say that, provided the items in your bag respect Walt Disney World Resort’s rules and regulations (for example, no glass containers), then you should be good to go to carry your bag with you. You’ll either be able to keep the bag at your feet on most attractions or, for attractions such as TRON Lightcycle / Run, in a special locker that you’ll be able to get to quickly when you exit the attraction.

I hope my answer helps you plan for the perfect Disney Day! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
