We have a breakfast reservation at the Crystal Palace 50 min. before the park officially opens, 20 min. before early entry. Bus transportation starts 45 minutes before the park opens. Can we make it on time to the restaurant from CBR?

    Hi Dawna!

    Welcome back to planDisney!

From my experience, the buses will start running from the resorts to the theme parks about 45-60 minutes prior to the listed Early Entry time. So, pending you jump on one of those early buses, you should be able to make it to the Magic Kingdom in time for your dining reservation at Crystal Palace.

Something I learned on my last trip that I thought was SO COOL is that you can ask the Hey Disney! device in your resort room when the buses to the Magic Kingdom start running. Since bus times are subject to change based on park hours, I loved that I had an up-to-date answer for my stay. And they were surprisingly earlier than I expected while I was there!

With all that being said, if you think you may not make it in time, I recommend booking a Minnie Van to get you from Caribbean Beach to Magic Kingdom. The nice thing about the Minnie Van service is that they will drop you off right next to the gates (where the buses drop you off), unlike other rideshare services that drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Minnie Vans can seat up to 6 guests and include up to 2 car seats if needed. You can book a ride through the Lyft app.

It’s good to note that once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, you’ll likely find that you’ll be able to enter the park with plenty of time to get to your reservation. They usually allow guests to enter the Magic Kingdom about 30-45 minutes prior to the listed Early Entry time.

If guests aren’t being allowed into the park just yet, you can let a Cast Member know that you’re there for an early dining reservation, and they will let you know what the protocol is to ensure you’re there on time.

Crystal Palace is my absolute favorite in-park character breakfast. The characters, the food, the location, and the light, bright dining area with a view of Cinderella Castle…it doesn’t get better! But whatever you do, don’t miss the churro Mickey waffles. They’re delicious, and Crystal Palace is the only place you can find them at Disney World! They’re usually at a separate counter from the main buffet.

I hope you have the best time! As you continue to plan, let us know if you have any other questions!
