How long a walk is it to Chef Mickey’s from Magic Kingdom bus drop off. We will have a wheel chair. Would it be best to take the monorail.

Hey there, Valerie! A big welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to receive your very first question! It's always a joy to chat about one of my favorite Disney Resort Collection hotels and a fantastic character dining experience that my family loves. Are you ready to dive in?

Your question is an excellent one, and I have some personal experience to share! The quick answer for most situations is: hop on the monorail! It stops right inside Disney's Contemporary Resort, just a short stroll away from Chef Mickey's. This way, you can avoid a long walk after a day of fun in the parks under the hot Florida sun. Plus, using a wheelchair makes the monorail a perfect choice, as both it and the resort are fully accessible!

That being said, I usually walk from Magic Kingdom to the restaurant in about 10-15 minutes. If the monorail happens to be crowded or there's a bit of a line, especially after the fireworks, walking could be your fastest option.

When you're deciding what to do, think about the time of day, the weather, and how much walking you and your family feel up to. But trust me, the walking path is lovely and fully accessible! And no matter which way you choose, you're sure to have an amazing time with Mickey and his friends!

That's it for now, Valerie! I hope this helps with your planning, and I can't wait to hear more of your questions before your trip in February. Come back anytime—we're always here and ready to help out our awesome friends like you!

    Cheers,
    Nilson
