Welcome to planDisney, Valerie! With your arrival date tomorrow, we don't want you to be late for your very important date, so let's fall down this rabbit hole together to find your answer.
I can see why you are feeling curiouser and curiouser. With a
Tier 6 ticket, you should be able to change your
theme park reservation within the
Disneyland Mobile App or
website to any day available as it's the highest ticket tier. Let's see what we can find out together.
First things first, let's pop into the app and take a look at what you are seeing. When you open the app, tap the "+" along the bottom navigation bar and select "Make a Park Reservation". You will be redirected to a site where you can "Make or Modify Park Reservations". I'm guessing this is where you navigated to originally to try to change your reservation, but take a look and see if you have any existing reservations. If there is a chance that you already have a reservation attached to that ticket, this is where you will be able to change it by selecting "Modify".
If you aren't seeing any reservations, my next thought is that perhaps there were no theme park reservations available when you originally tried to change it given that we are at the end of a busy holiday season. A quick peek at the
theme park reservation calendar now shows that January 7th is available for both parks, subject to change, of course. Try to make the reservation again and see if it goes through. Guests are always changing their plans so even when reservations are initially unavailable they can open up closer to the date.
You'll also want to double check that the ticket hasn't expired. You should be able to see this in the app just under the barcode for this particular ticket. In the event that it does happen to be expired, the price of a wholly, unused valid theme park ticket can be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket provided it's of equal or greater value than the original. Your next step here would be to give the Cast Members in
Guest Services a ring.
Of course, there is the tried-and-true method of closing out of the app, turning your device off and on and giving it another go. All things Disney are very magical, but they are not immune to the occasional technological glitch!
Valerie, if you've reached this far and are still not having any luck, it's time to call in a Cast Member at
Guest Services to see what light they can shed on the issue. I'd recommend giving them a call today so you can sort out your reservation for tomorrow.
I'm hopeful they will be able to work some magic, and you will be twirling in Alice's tea cup before you know it. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out to us here at
planDisney.
