Hello I bought a ticket that I didn't use in January. Does that ticket expire this month or does it expire on the date it was bought?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Johanna!

I understand you have an unused Theme Park Ticket to the Disneyland Resort. Yay! Check out the 2025 Disneyland Resort Event Calendar on the Disney Parks Blog to learn what you can expect this coming year.

One-day tickets are valid for about 16 months. You can find the exact expiration date on the e-mail confirmation you received when you first purchased your tickets. The date will be located toward the end of the e-mail. It's also good to know that even if your ticket is expired, you can still use the value of an unused or expired theme park ticket (excluding special event tickets) toward the purchase of a new ticket--so long as the new ticket costs the same or more than the original ticket.

Once you've decided on your visit date, you must make a Theme Park Reservation in advance. In order to enter a park, both valid admission and a reservation are required for the same park on the same date. To make a reservation, visit the My Theme Park Reservations webpage. You'll select a date from a calendar, and which park you'd like to visit, then follow the directions to complete your reservation. Be on the lookout for an e-mail confirming your reservation.

Finally, on the day of your visit, you'll use the Disneyland App to enter the parks, check attraction wait times, place Mobile Orders for food and drinks, and more.

Johanna, I hope you find this helpful. Feel free to visit us again, if you have any other questions. See you real soon!

    Your Pal,
