Hello Robyn! With four theme parks, two water parks, more than twenty resort hotels, and a world-class shopping district, the Walt Disney World Resort can be a bit overwhelming when it comes to planning! That’s why you came to planDisney with your great question! I’m happy to help!
In order for a Guest to enter any of the four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort – Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park – they must have valid theme park admission for each park.
It sounds like you’ve purchased admission and plan to go to Magic Kingdom Park. If you want to visit another park, on a different day of your vacation, you would need to purchase separate admission for another park.
The other option would be to purchase a
Park Hopper ticket with your admission. A Park Hopper add-on to an admission ticket allows Guests to visit more than one park on the same day. So, for example, you would be able to start your day at Magic Kingdom Park, but then “hop” to another park later in the day! Given the scenario you presented in your question, it sounds like this might be the best option for you! If you start your day at Magic Kingdom Park, but then want to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see the
Fantasmic! show (my favorite!) you would need a Park Hopper ticket!
Happy Planning!
