Hello, Jamie!
Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney, and congratulations on your new Magic Key!
According to the
Magic Key Terms and Conditions, a Magic Key is activated either by using the pass to enter one of the theme parks or using it to pay for parking (which is included with some passes) at one of the parking lots. Because this was going to be your first visit, your pass should not be active yet.
It is a good idea to get in the habit of canceling park reservations by midnight the day before your visit so that you don't run into issues with the
Magic Key No-Show Policy. The current policy states that Magic Key holders who are a "no-show" for 3 reservations within 90 days will be unable to make new park reservations or modify existing park reservations for 30 days. While there isn't a way to see your "no-show" count online, guests typically get an email letting them know when they miss a reservation. You can also call the
phone number for Magic Key holders to ask about the status of your account.
Since you're a new Magic Key holder I want to make sure you know about the
benefits and discounts around the resort! You should also follow the official
Magic Key account on Instagram to keep up with the latest news (and sometimes giveaways!) for key holders. There are so many
great events planned for 2024, I know it's going to be a very magical year for you, Jamie!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
