Booking lightning lane for more than one family 7 days before arrival

    Hi Cassandra!

Welcome to planDisney! Your trip is getting SO CLOSE! So, let’s get straight to the answer.

You’re more than welcome to book Lightning Lanes for more than one family (up to 20 guests at a time). You’ll just want to make sure everyone is linked via your Family & Friends List before doing so.

After everyone has their own My Disney Experience account created, open your My Disney Experience app and click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner. Scroll down to click Profile, then click Family & Friends List at the top of the page. There, you’ll be able to see who you’re already linked to. If someone is missing, click (+) Add a Guest and follow the prompts.

If you want to make sure it’s all set up prior to your Lightning Lane booking window opening, you can practice clicking through the prompts as if you’re purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass by clicking the Purchase button on the homepage of your app. The prompts will allow you to get through the first few steps, one of which will show who you’ll be able to select once your booking window opens.

Your Lightning Lane booking window will open beginning at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your resort check-in date if you’re staying at a Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket for date-based tickets.

Each park day will be a separate transaction. So, I recommend starting with your park days toward the end of your trip first, then working your way backwards to have a better chance at getting the return times you’re hoping for. If you’d like everyone in your party to have the same return times for your Lightning Lane pre-selections, I recommend having just one person be in charge of the bookings.

I hope that helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us. I hope you have the best time at Disney!
