Hi Kenzie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you’re planning an amazing trip with friends. How exciting! I’d be happy to help.
First, the good news: If everyone in your group is
purchasing their theme park tickets separately from the hotel reservation, they can absolutely choose different ticket lengths! For example, some can purchase 3-day tickets while others choose 2-day tickets. They can link their tickets to their My Disney Experience profiles once they’ve made their purchases.
To allow for this flexibility, you’ll want to book what’s called a “
Room-Only” reservation, which means you’re reserving your
Disney Resort Hotel room separately from park tickets. You can book these reservations online or by calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. However, the easiest way to request connecting or adjoining rooms is by calling. Just keep in mind that these requests are not guaranteed but will be noted on your reservation.
Here’s a quick tip: Connecting rooms have a door between them, while adjoining rooms are simply next to each other. Be sure to specify your preference when making your request!
Additionally, if you’re trying to link hotel reservations under different names, no problem! Everyone just needs to connect through the Family & Friends list in the My Disney Experience app. This will make it easier for you to coordinate plans like dining reservations or
Lightning Lane selections later.
Finally, it sounds like you might be visiting during the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! This is one of my favorite times to visit with friends. Sharing dishes from the Global Marketplaces is a great way to sample lots of flavors without breaking the bank—or your belt! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for festival updates and tips.
If you have any more questions as you plan, feel free to reach out again. I’m here to help make your trip as magical as possible. Have a fantastic time, Kenzie!
See ya real soon,
Eean
