Lightning Lane Passes are the perfect way to maximize your park day by being able to skip the standby lines. What’s even better is that the Premier Passes allow you to ride the attractions you want, when you want, without the need to schedule arrival windows!
You are correct in how Lightning Lane Premier Passes can be purchased up to 7 days in advance of your park visit through the
Disneyland app by tapping the ≡ menu. Then, select “Lightning Lane Passes” to get started. You’ll want to follow the prompts to complete your purchase. With your arrival date of May 23, you’re looking at making this purchase on May 16. This would begin at 7:00 AM Pacific Time, however, this is subject to very limited quantities. Be sure to set an alarm so you’re ready right on the dot to purchase!
I would go ahead and purchase
theme park tickets before purchasing the Premier Passes. Doing so will allow you to make your
park reservations so you’re all set for your upcoming visit. You’ll also want to make sure that everyone in your party has valid theme park admission and park reservations for the same date, all linked to your MyDisney account, so you can purchase Lightning Lane passes for everyone who is eligible.
