I'm bringing a guest to my senior trip and we're both buying lightning lane passes, I get my ticket the day of. Should I link my ticket first the day of or can I link their ticket days before?

    Hi there, Hennassey!

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! Closing one chapter and stepping into the next is such a meaningful moment, and I hope you get to soak in every bit of it.

You can link the tickets to the Disneyland app whenever you would like, as it doesn’t matter which one goes in first. If you want to save yourself a step later, feel free to add your friend’s ticket now and then add yours once you receive it. It’s great that you’re planning to link both, since it makes booking Lightning Lanes together so much easier! I recommend purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass as soon as you scan into the park so you can grab your first return time right away.

Just a heads-up that Lightning Lanes typically aren’t offered during Grad Nite at Disney California Adventure Park in my experience. If you’re visiting earlier in the day, though, you should be able to add them to your tickets. Just keep in mind that availability can go quickly, which is another reason to buy as soon as you enter.

When you’re choosing Lightning Lanes, I’d start with the most popular attractions. At Disneyland Park, that usually means Space Mountain and Indiana Jones Adventure. Over at California Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! and the Incredicoaster are great first picks. After booking my first one, I like to set a reminder on my phone so I’m ready to grab the next one as soon as the window opens (usually two hours later or after you scan into your current Lightning Lane).

Hennassey, have the best time at Disneyland, and I'm wishing you so much luck on your next adventure! Don't forget to stop by planDisney again if you have more questions.
