When I booked my vacation recently, I did not add the dining package and have now decided I would like to dose. How can I go about this?

Hi there, Michelle. Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

There's nothing quite like that moment when you make your Disney vacation official. I'm so excited to hear that you'll be arriving in Walt Disney World in just a few short weeks! Before you know it, you'll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. and enjoying the sweet smells of The Main Street Confectionery as they waft out to greet you!

Michelle, there's a lot to love in The Most Magical Place on Earth, but for me, it's hard to top the delicious food you'll find throughout the parks. That's why I'm so excited that my family is taking advantage of the Free Dining Plan for Kids in 2026 offer for our upcoming trip! Not only is this a great deal, but the Disney Dining Plan gives you so much peace of mind. There's nothing more magical than ordering that DOLE Whip, knowing it's already paid for!

Now, let's talk about how to add a dining plan to your existing vacation package. Michelle, I'm happy to share that you can add a dining plan to your package up to one day before you check in. The easiest way to do this is to call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to speak with a Disney Cast Member.

If you're using the standard Disney Dining Plan, be sure to make Advance Dining Reservations for your top-priority restaurants through your My Disney Experience app. As a guest at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can make those reservations 60 days in advance, for the entire length of your stay (up to a 10-night stay). Since you're already within that 60-day window, you'll want to hop to it, if you haven't already! Many Disney World restaurants (especially new dining experiences and character dining locations) tend to fill up pretty quickly.

Michelle, I hope this helps you plan a marvelously magical adventure! If you have any other questions as you finalize your plans, come back and visit me here at planDisney.

    Magical travels,

    Allison
