Hey Lesley,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World visit. October will be here before you know it, so it’s very smart of you to think through dining and your options now. The answer to your question largely depends on how you booked your stay. As my fellow panelist Sue very eloquently points out
in her answer here, if you booked your holiday directly through The Walt Disney Travel Company International, you can add a dining plan through them very easily if you have a holiday package booked.
Just call them directly. However, if you used a third party, you will need to contact them directly to determine what their policy is for adding a dining plan to your existing vacation.
I do hope that you’ll be able to add a
dining plan to your trip. My children and I were able to use the quick service dining plan during our last visit for the first time and it changed how we will dine forever. The convenience of being able to send a hungry teen (aren’t they always hungry?) to our resort quick service restaurant with his
MagicBand+ to grab a meal on his own was amazing for me. Remember, you’ll also get Resort-Refillable mugs with your dining plan purchase. This was my 7-year-old's favorite part of the vacation. He mixed so many different soda flavors together during that week that I don’t think he ever had the same beverage. You can only refill these at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, not in the parks. However, sometimes you’ll see guests in the parks using them at water fountains.
I hope this information is helpful, Lesley. If you have additional questions about your upcoming Disney World visit, please be sure to visit us here at planDisney again real soon. Until then, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
