Hi there, Jenna! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney for all the details on how to get to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
The “fastest” way to get to
Magic Kingdom and EPCOT can depend on the day and time, but since you’ll have a rental car, driving yourself is a solid choice, especially with the perk of complimentary theme park parking for Disney Resort hotel guests.
I’d recommend heading to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). Once you park there, you’ll have access to the Monorail system, which makes it super easy to reach both Magic Kingdom and
EPCOT. Just hop on the Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom or head to the EPCOT Monorail line, which are both efficient and add a little magic to your commute.
When your park day wraps up, getting back to your car is easy. If you’re finishing the day at EPCOT, just hop on the Monorail back to the TTC. If you're ending at Magic Kingdom, you can choose either the Monorail or the scenic Ferryboat ride, which both drop you off right at the TTC, where your car will be waiting.
Having your own car can really take the pressure off at the end of a long day, especially when little ones (or grown-ups!) are tired. It saves you from waiting in potentially long bus lines, which can vary in wait times depending on the time of day and crowd levels. Driving gives you a bit more flexibility and comfort, especially if you're planning an early morning or a late night in the parks.
