Port Orleans Riverside Pool

    We are booked at Port Orleans Riverside for September 3rd but we won’t be getting to the hotel after midnight which technically we would be checking in on the 4th. Do we get any type of refund? We were just wondering?

    Hi William,

    How exciting, your visit is literally almost here!  I hope your final preparations are all settling into place, and if you are anything like me you are having the "Disney Countdown" thrills running through your veins.  I think the pre-vacation excitement is almost as enjoyable as the excitement you feel once you have finally arrived at the Walt Disney Resort.

    I'm glad to hear that you have chosen to stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  This Resort has such a romantic environment and I hope you have a chance to take a stroll along the Sassagoula River while you are there.  In fact, a great feature of this Resort is the ability to walk to the neighboring Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.  If you happen to go over for a visit, I highly recommend stopping in for some Mickey-shaped beignets at Scat Cat's Club - Cafe.

    William, check in for the Disney Resort hotels begin after 3:00 PM.  If you modified your reservation to arrive on September 4, you wouldn't be able to check into your Resort hotel until after 3:00 PM on September 4.  Since you will be arriving in the "wee hours of the morning", I think keeping your current reservation with check-in after 3:00 PM on September 3 is the way to go.

    I have a tip for you to help your check-in go smoothly and to save you a bit of time since you are having a late arrival and will probably be eager to get some sleep.  When you use the Online Check-In Service prior to your arrival, you can skip checking in at the Resort's front desk and go straight to your room once it is ready.  This Direct-To-Room Service saves so much time and I love the convenience of being able to open my Disney Resort hotel room with My Disney Experience App or my MagicBand.
