We are booked for our next cruise in December 2025. Can you tell me if the Wonder will be decorated for Christmas?

    Welcome to planDisney, Colleen,

If you are hoping for Christmas decorations aboard the Disney Wonder this December, I don’t blame you! My family’s second time sailing on the Wonder was over the Christmas holiday. We found the seasonal decor to be beyond stunning. Indeed, to us, it was magical. I would love to be able to experience it again someday.

December 2025 sailings from Auckland and Sydney aboard the Disney Wonder are not officially designated as “Very Merrytime Cruises.” However, I’m pleased to have learned that passengers who have sailed aboard the Wonder around the Christmas holiday season in both 2023 and 2024 have reported enjoying the Wonder’s gorgeous Christmas decor in the ship’s main atrium. Such offerings are subject to change, of course. But I think the odds are relatively high that you will have the opportunity to be wowed by the captivating holiday decor of the Wonder this December.

My family recently returned from a New Year’s Eve cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy. We were certainly looking forward to ringing in the new year sailing on seas made magical by the Disney Cruise Line. But we were maybe just a little disappointed that our cruise was not specifically designated a Very Merrytime Cruise as well. So imagine our incredible joy as we stepped foot into the atrium of the Fantasy and beheld the moving sight of a large Christmas tree, lighted garlands, and wreaths adorning the atrium! We even spotted Christmas decorations and “snowmen” made of sand during our stop at Disney Castaway Cay. It was our own little Christmas miracle that instantly became part of forever memories we made during our cruise.

I’m so excited for you, Colleen. You will be sailing aboard my favorite Disney Cruise Line ship. Dare I say that I’m a little jealous that you will be enjoying the Wonder from your beautiful corner of the world while I anxiously await its return for more cruises on the West Coast of the United States? Hakuna matata! It means, “No worries!” I’m grateful to already have a reservation to sail aboard the Wonder after it returns to the northern hemisphere again next year. So my family and I can look forward to again sailing on the Wonder then!

Bon voyage and happy holidays, Colleen!
