While some features of Disney sites such as the Disney Cruise Line website are only available to adults logged into their accounts, many Guests under 18 years old may still have a MyDisney account and utilize select features of the sites when logged in. The general
terms and conditions (Canada version) of Disney websites accessible to the public apply to any user of the sites. Sites such as the Disney Cruise Line website may also have
supplemental terms and conditions.
Disney also shares their
privacy policies online. In some cases and jurisdictions, there may not be a minimum age to create a MyDisney account. However, due to Disney’s privacy policies, accounts used by children and teenagers may not be able to collect and store certain data or support some features to comply with regulations and safeguard the privacy of minors.
Many Guests like to use the chat feature in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator mobile app to keep in touch with each other even when they are participating in different activities throughout their cruise ship. A convenient feature of the Navigator app is that a MyDisney account is not required to use it when using the onboard Wi-Fi network. Each Guest simply enters their name, date of birth, and stateroom number to set up and use the chat feature.
Tony’s Tip: Connecting to the DCL-GUEST Wi-Fi on board your Disney Cruise Line ship is complimentary and allows for using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for chat, finding onboard activities, reviewing dining menus in advance, and looking up much more information about the ship. Only if the Guest needs to connect to Internet sites and services besides the Navigator app would they need to purchase an Internet connection package.
