We booked 2 multi-day tickets for a valid amount of days at the end of the month. With this type of ticket how can we go about purchasing the fast passes? We know the parks we will be going to on which days in the window.

    Hi Nichole!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Your Lightning Lane booking window will depend on where you’ll be staying. If you’re staying at a Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel, your booking window for your entire trip will open at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your resort check-in date. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket for date-based tickets.

All Lightning Lane services are subject to availability, so I recommend booking as soon as your booking window opens!

Once your booking window opens, you’ll hop on your My Disney Experience app and click the Purchase button under Lightning Lane Multi Pass/Single Pass or Lightning Lane Premier Pass (depending on which service you’d like to book). From there, you’ll follow the prompts, which include choosing your park date and the park you’d like to purchase the service for.

It’s good to note that, when you’re booking and purchasing your Lightning Lane services, each park day will be a separate transaction. So, you’ll repeat the process for each park day. I like to start with the park days toward the end of my trip, then work my way backward. That usually gives me a better chance at snagging the harder-to-get Lightning Lanes!

If you plan to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass, you can do so for one theme park per day. When using this service, you’ll be able to scan into each available Lightning Lane attraction once whenever you’re ready throughout your park day. So, you won’t need to worry about booking any return times.

If you’re hoping to purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass, you can purchase up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per park day, and those attractions do not need to be at the same theme park if you have a valid park hopper linked to your account.

Finally, for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, as you go through the prompts when your booking window opens, you will be able to choose 3 Lightning Lane pre-selections and the return times for those attractions. If you’re planning to use Lightning Lane Multi Pass with a park hopper ticket, all 3 Lightning Lane pre-selections will need to be in the same park. Then, after you scan into your very first Lightning Lane of the day, you’ll be able to book any other available Lightning Lane in any park.

I think that covers it all! If you have any other questions or want clarification on anything we chatted about today, feel free to come back and visit us. We’re always happy to help!
