Hello! I booked a manicure at the Grand Floridian Spa and wanted to know how much travel time I should plan. I'll be at Magic Kingdom for the morning, then the spa, then dinner at Citricos 30 min after the spa appt ends. Thanks!

    Hi Chelsea!

It sounds like you have a practically perfect day planned! I’m happy to help with your timeline to make sure you arrive at all of your destinations on time.

There are three different options when it comes to traveling from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa:

    1. Take the Resort Monorail from Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The ride takes about 10 minutes, but including wait times, plan for 20-30 minutes.

    2. Another option is taking the Resort Launch, a small boat that travels between Magic Kingdom and the Grand Floridian. The boat ride is about 10-15 minutes, but you’ll need to factor in some extra time for boarding and any potential wait times. Plan for 20-30 minutes total.

    3. If you prefer to walk (and the weather is nice), the scenic walking pathway from Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian will take around 15-20 minutes. The entrance to the walking path is to the right of the Resort Boat Launch area.

Once you arrive at the resort, it's just a short walk through the beautiful grounds to reach the Grand Floridian Spa entrance. If you’re unsure or want to ensure you’re headed the right way, the Cast Members at the front desk or concierge in the main building will gladly guide you to the spa.

Since Citricos is located within the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you’ll only need about 5-10 minutes to walk from the spa to the restaurant. This gives you a comfortable amount of time to transition from your relaxing manicure to your delightful dinner. With a 30-minute gap between your spa appointment and dinner, you’ll even have time to freshen up or explore a bit of the gorgeous resort!

Enjoy your morning at Magic Kingdom (say hi to The Dapper Dans for me!), but aim to leave the park at least 45 minutes before your spa appointment. This gives you the flexibility to choose between the monorail, boat, or walking path and ensures you arrive on time without any rush.

Have a magical day of relaxation and delicious dining!
