We are taking my friend + her 12 YO daughter for their 1st Disney trip. We want to stay at a DW resort; the cabins at wilderness lodge would be perfect, but they only have 1 bath. Options of DW hotel rooms to share with 1.5 2 baths?

    Hi Gimena!

It’s fantastic that you’re planning such a special trip for your friend and her daughter! If you’re looking for Disney Resort Hotel rooms that offer more than one bathroom, there are great options that will give you the space and comfort you need.

First, there's Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Their Family Suites are very roomy, can sleep up to 6 guests, and include a separate bedroom, a pull-out sofa, a Murphy bed, kitchenette, and living area. The kitchenette includes a microwave, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, and a sink. My favorite feature is that each suite has two full bathrooms!

Art of Animation is known for its immersive Disney animation themes. The outdoor areas feature massive character statues and interactive play areas - it’s so fun! The Family Suites are themed after The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars, each with colorful designs and decor. I’ve personally stayed in a Nemo Suite and a Lion King Suite, and they were both super cute! Of the two, I preferred the Finding Nemo room the best - I’m a Nemo fangirl at heart. Just keep swimming!

Art of Animation Resort features the largest pool in Walt Disney World, the Big Blue Pool. The Landscape of Flavors food court offers a variety of options, with unique dishes and traditional favorites. The resort is connected to the Disney Skyliner, offering quick and scenic transportation to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Another option would be the Family Suites at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. The All-Star Music Resort has a fun musical theme, with suites themed after various genres of music. (Trust me, if there was a “boy band” themed room, it would be my top choice every time!)
Similar to Art of Animation, the All-Star Music Family Suites can accommodate up to 6 guests, and feature a bedroom with a queen bed, a pull-out sofa, a Murphy bed, and a kitchenette. The suites, while roomy, are slightly smaller than those at Art of Animation. Most importantly, their suites also feature two full bathrooms.

All-Star Music is part of the All-Star Resorts trio and you’ll see all types of music in the decor, including country, jazz, rock, and Broadway. The theming is fun and colorful, but a bit less immersive than Art of Animation’s larger-than-life film-based themes. The resort has a more laid-back vibe, perfect for guests who want a fun environment that’s slightly more understated than Art of Animation!

All-Star Music has two pools—the Calypso Pool (the main pool, in the shape of a guitar, and the quieter Piano Pool, shaped like a grand piano. The Intermission Food Court offers Quick-Service dining with a variety of options. Transportation to the parks is via Disney buses, which can be slightly more time-consuming compared to the Skyliner access at Art of Animation.

Both resorts are great, with roomy suites and amenities designed to make your Disney vacation magical. Your choice will depend on whether you prioritize the theming and Skyliner access of Art of Animation or the musical charm and slightly lower cost of All-Star Music. You can’t go wrong with either one!

I hope this information helps! Have a wonderful time on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
