I booked a cruise on the Disney Wish for 5/12. My flight coming into Orlando Airport is on 5/11, but I was wondering if you had any recommendations on the easiest way to get from a hotel to the port on the day the cruise sets sail and back to the airport.

    Hi there, Tara!

Thank you for contacting planDisney. You will love sailing on the Disney Wish, a beautiful ship with plenty of fun activities for the entire family!

Guests who book their pre- or post-cruise hotel with Disney Cruise Line can typically access Disney Cruise Line ground transportation (for a fee). Transportation is also available between Port Canaveral and the Orlando International Airport. I recommend booking your hotel stay through Disney Cruise Line to ensure a seamless transition from your hotel to Port Canaveral.

Before my family's voyage on the Disney Wish, we stayed at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel at Walt Disney World Resort. It was the most magical way to begin our vacation! After our Disney Cruise, we headed to the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. Staying at the airport was both convenient and fun! My kids loved watching the airplanes take off from the pool deck, and I liked not needing to worry about traffic before our flight. Guests can call Disney Cruise Line to reserve their hotel room and ground transportation.

I am glad you are arriving in Orlando before your Disney Cruise embarks. I also usually do this, as I would hate for any flight issues to impact my vacation! If you plan to fly home on debarkation day, just make sure your flight does not leave any earlier than 11:15 a.m., as recommended by Disney Cruise Line. This should give you plenty of time to debark from the ship and arrive at the airport before your flight.

Tara, have a wonderful vacation! Please reach out to planDisney again if you have additional questions!

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
