When you book a restaurant 2 months before you go to Disney world, do you pay for it online or when you go to the restaurant?

Hey Howdy Hey Nick and welcome back to planDisney!

One of the best parts about a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is the amount of options you have planning for your Magical vacation as well as once you are onsite. I realize this may get a little confusing, especially when talking about dining reservations. Not to worry Nick, you've got a friend in me to give you the details so you can better prepare for your trip.

When it comes to dining, not all locations are created equally. If you want to book a table service restaurant, reservations are the best way to go to ensure you have a table set for your day and time. Most locations throughout Walt Disney World require a credit card number to hold your reservation. There are currently 2 locations, Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review in the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, that do require full payment to hold your reservation. If you do need to cancel your reservations, this needs to be done 24 hours in advance in order to get a full refund.

One other friendly reminder is about all of the benefits of staying onsite with Disney Resort hotels. When it comes to dining reservations, Guests staying onsite at a Disney Resort hotel or other qualifying hotels will have 60 days from their date of arrival to make dining reservations. On that day, you will also have 10 days in the future to make your reservations as well so this should cover most of, if not the full trip. Another cool new benefit in 2025 is that Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel will have complimentary access to the water parks on the day they arrive. This is a great way to relax and enjoy the pools on your arrival day to get your vacation started off right!

I hope this information was helpful so you can better understand some of your dining options. If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,

    Nick
