Hi Jodi,
Thanks for bringing your Disney Vacation Club question to
planDisney today, it's always great to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member! One of the aspects I love most about being a Disney Vacation Club Member is the flexibility it provides to book vacations that perfectly suit my preferences and the size of my travel party. I enjoy exploring each of the
Disney Vacation Club Resorts, along with Disney's other on-site resorts, as they all offer unique and exciting experiences!
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a beautiful resort with vibrant colors and lush greenery. It is one of the Disney Skyliner hubs which makes for very convenient travel to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The pool is a highlight - my kids couldn't stop swimming in the incredible pool themed as an old Spanish citadel.
Since Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is not a Disney Vacation Club Resort, booking with
Vacation Points is slightly different than booking a Disney Collection Exchange destination. Points Charts that outline Points needed throughout the year are located on the Disney Vacation Club website under the "Destinations" tab, choosing "Disney Resort Hotels Near & Far" and then "View All Resorts". I love to peruse the Points Charts and dream where my family will travel next! Once you know where you'd like to stay, phone DVC
Member Services. They will assist you with converting your Vacation Points into Reservation Points and will help book your stay. To note: there is a $95 transaction fee (price is subject to change) applied since it is a Disney Collection Exchange.
The
Rule of Four will also apply to this kind of reservation which means that within the last four months of your Use Year, you cannot both book and travel with the majority of Disney Collection exchange options so be sure to keep your Use Year in mind.
Jodi, I hope this information helps with your vacation planning. If you have more questions about your visit, please revisit planDisney.
Have a magical vacation,
Candace
