Ahoy there, Amy!
Welcome to planDisney. Amy, one of the best parts of Disney Vacation Club Membership is the flexibility. As a
Disney Vacation Club Member for over 22 years, our family has enjoyed affordable family vacations year after year to Disney and beyond and this includes sailing into the great wide somewhere on Disney Cruise Line using our Vacation Points.
Amy, the first thing you want to do is log into your Disney Vacation Club account on the Disney Vacation Club Member site. Then, scroll to "Destinations" and select
Disney Cruise Line. Click the blue button that says
"View All Points Charts" and from here you can see all of the available sailings. Click on one of the sailings to see the Vacation Points Charts for that ship. The amounts will vary depending on the sailing, time of year, and stateroom you choose. For a family of four, you will likely want a family suite, but the costs will vary depending on if you want a room with a verandah, ocean view, nights of the sailing, destination, etc.
Once you have found the cruise you'd like to book, call
Member Services who will check availability, convert your Vacation Points into Reservation Points, and make the booking for you. They can also help you maximize your Vacation Points to make the booking.
It's as simple as Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo. I am just about to set sail on a Disney Cruise vacation that I booked using my Disney Vacation Club Points, and it's a wonderful way to maximize Disney magic with your Membership.
One final tip for you, Amy. If you do hop aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, be sure and check out the
Member Extras and benefits for eligible Members onboard Disney Cruise Line!
I hope this helps you, Amy! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, sail back here to see us and we will be so happy to help you.
Anchors Aweigh!
