Ahoy there, Laura!
Welcome Home and thank you so much for sailing by with your question. Laura, I am just getting ready to board a Disney Cruise Line ship myself that I booked using my Disney Vacation Club Points. I love that DVC Membership offers us the flexibility to sail into the great wide somewhere!
Laura, while there are some benefits for Disney Vacation Club Members on Disney Cruise Line,
such as on-board discounts for eligible Members, often a DVC Member gathering on board and sometimes even a DVC Member gift (subject to change,) our Membership doesn't give us priority check-in or priority access to book excursions.
Disney Cruise Line has a Castaway Club, which is a loyalty program based on the number of sailings you have done with
Disney Cruise Line. This program does offer
different priority booking windows depending on which level you qualify for.
For example, after two sailings, you become a Silver Member and can book cruise activities 90 days prior to sailing and complete online check-in 33 days prior to sailing. There is also a Gold Membership after five sailings, a Platinum Membership after 10 sailings, and a Pearl Membership after 25 sailings. The Castaway Club Level a Guest belongs to determines the priority window those Guests have to book online check-in and cruise activities.
Concierge-level Guests also have a greater priority booking window.
If it is your first Disney Cruise Line sailing, you can book your activities beginning 75 days prior to your sailing date and 30 days before your sailing, you can complete your online check-in.
I hope this helps you, Laura. If you have any further questions, sail back here to see us and we will be so happy to help you.
Anchors Aweigh!
