Can I book a cabin at Fort Wilderness in 2026 without a DVC membership?

    Hey Howdy Hey, Mallory!

Thanks for bringing your question to us at planDisney as you prepare to head into the magic in 2026. Here it's always a practically perfect day to discuss an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so let's talk booking!

Because 2026 reservations are not yet available for Disney Resort hotels and Disney Vacation Club Resorts at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Vacation Club members booking a stay at their Home Resort are currently the only Guests able to secure their stay beyond December 2025. Since you're hoping to stay in the popular Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, you'll want to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and Walt Disney World's social media for the announcement that 2026 bookings have become available so that you can make your reservation as soon as possible.

Have you seen the new Disney Vacation Club cabins, Mallory? As a Chip 'n' Dale fangirl, all of the chipmunk-inspired touches have moved a stay in these cabins to the top of my list of magical must-dos. Happily, I just confirmed with a Cast Member that while priority is given to DVC members, non-DVC Guests are also able to book these cabins if they are available on the website. You'll see them listed on The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort's webpage under 'Room Rates' denoted as a 1 Bedroom Cabin. If you aren't looking to stay in the DVC cabins, you're also welcome to book a Wilderness Cabin. Either way, you're in for a delightful stay with convenient access to incredible views of the Electrical Water Pageant and Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long each night. The fact that both of these entertainment offerings are complimentary feels a lot like magic!

I hope this information helps you make plans for your upcoming visit, Mallory. I'll be thinking the happiest thoughts for booking availability on your desired dates! If any additional questions arise as your vacation approaches, feel free to stop back by planDisney. We're always happy to help!
