Hi there Charles, and welcome to planDisney!
Making my way around Walt Disney World Resort throughout my research for planDisney, I find that taking
every form of complimentary resort transportation is something that I actively enjoy doing - especially when it comes to evaluating the most efficient ways to get between locations! When it comes to planning a visit between
Disney Resort Hotels, it's important to remember that
bus transportation doesn't go between them (with a few select exceptions on some combined bus routes) so you'll have to get a little creative with your journey:
- Scheduling a ride with an app in order to be driven there and dropped off directly will most certainly shave off the amount of time it takes to make the journey, but I have also observed that many guests have experienced Parking and Security Cast Members to be strict about those who enter without a valid reservation - even when just being dropped off. If you're visiting someone, I recommend making sure that you have their room number and the name the reservation is under or have a dining reservation that you can show through your My Disney Experience app.
Though there is a sidewalk that passes by McDonald's as well as
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, Cast Members that I checked with will not actively encourage it due to safety concerns and I've personally experienced this taking a considerable amount of time with limited shade so the bus may just be your best bet in this situation. I hope this helps, Charles - don't hesitate to come back to planDisney again for any other tips or tricks ahead of your trip coming up soon!
Wishing you easy journeys throughout your Walt Disney World Resort wanderings!
