We have breakfast reservations at Cape May and plan to go to Epcot after. Can I park all day at the hotel with only the dining reservation?

Well hi there Vicky, and welcome back to planDisney!

It's incredible to think that 13 years ago you had come to our team to ask about transportation to your breakfast at Disney's Beach Club Resort, and have come back again so many years later to return by car. I certainly don't blame you - Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe is definitely something not to be missed! Though some things may have changed over the past decade like Minnie's outfit, it is just as satisfying as ever to fill up on a hearty breakfast before heading out for a day at the theme parks.

    • Something that you might also experience to be a little different nowadays is the current parking situation at the Disney Resort Hotels, where Parking and Security Cast Members have begun to enforce a limit as to how long guests can park in certain locations. This has been observed over the past few years to be especially true at more popular times of the year where there is more demand and enforcement of these policies has been tighter on guests - even those just wanting to be dropped off.
    • I spoke with a Cast Member at Disney's Beach Club Resort who let me know that unfortunately guests are not permitted to park at these Resort Hotel locations when they intend to leave their vehicle there all day while they're at EPCOT. They let me know that this may be due to an increase in folks taking advantage of using Disney's BoardWalk as their entryway into the theme parks resulting in a decision made by management to restrict access.
Though in the past, guests have been successful in parking with their dining reservations I have observed Security Cast Members recently turning away those who indicate that they will be parking all day just to enter a theme park or strictly enforcing a 3-hour time limit. There is never any guarantee as to whether a Cast Member may make any exceptions or has been instructed to be more stringent with their approach, so it's a good idea to have another parking strategy in mind for that morning! Stay tuned for the latest news and updates on the Disney Parks Blog and we look forward to seeing you back again at planDisney real soon!

Here's to hopefully easy mornings that start with Breakfast at the Beach Club!
