When is the best time for couples without children to visit Disney parks

Hi, Kathye! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I'm so happy that you asked me this question because many people think a Disney vacation is really just for families with young children. But I can tell you that it just isn't so! Walt Disney World is a great place for couples, too. There are so many options for adult visitors without children - from resorts and dining to special tours and recreation.

First of all, if possible, try to avoid visiting during school vacations or national holidays when crowd levels peak. Two great times to plan a visit are in the spring and fall. From March to May you can enjoy the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival and from the end of September through to mid-November the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is held. These seasonal events are included in Epcot theme park admission. Both Festivals also offer special seminars and workshops with HGTV floral/garden experts and celebrity chefs for an additional fee.

As adult visitors, you can enjoy special events and tours such as specialty cruises and backstage tours (limited to guests age 16 and older), and even zip around the Walt Disney World Speedway in a stock car or exotic sports car.

My response space is limited, so come back to visit me again here on the Moms Panel with any additional questions. I've got some advice to share with you on the best resort hotels for couples and the best romantic "adult" dining locations at Walt Disney World. Have a magical day!
