Happy holidays, Gaudencio! Welcome to planDisney with such a fun and festive question! I'm so excited to answer your question because I just returned home from Walt Disney World, and it's definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go. There's a tree at the Grand Floridian hotel and one in Magic Kingdom Park as well; it's the sturdy kind that doesn't mind the
snoap!
Oh my garland, Gaudencio, I'm such a
sap for a magical Christmas tree, and each Resort hotel knows how to
spruce things up! So, let me say right away that no matter which Resort hotel you visit, you're in for a
tree-mendous sight! However, if I had to choose my personal favorites, I have a few, and I'll list them here in no particular order.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is often overlooked because it isn't located on the monorail line or near the BoardWalk. However, if you have the chance to see this lobby—especially at night—it ranks high on my list of "best of the best"! At night, the lights shine on the large lobby windows, creating an even more magical feel. If you aren't staying at this Resort hotel, make a dining reservation at Boma – Flavors of Africa to enjoy a perfect evening!
If you're looking for a Resort hotel lobby that's practically perfect in every way, you need to visit
Disney's Grand Floridian. Usually, you'd find a life-size gingerbread house in the lobby, but due to recent construction, it isn't on display this year. However, don't let that stop you from visiting; the recent updates have made an already stunning lobby even better! You'll find a
be-yule-tiful towering tree reaching up to the stained-glass skylights, along with smaller trees and garland throughout the space. I have no words for how happy this lobby makes me! While you're there, be sure to hop over to Gasparilla Island Grill and try the delicious Gingerbread Brownie—yum!
I'm combining the
Beach Club and
Yacht Club on this list. While they are two different hotels, you can't visit one without visiting the other. At the Yacht Club, you'll find a beautiful tree and a cute holiday train display. A stroll to the Beach Club leads you to a lobby featuring a large gingerbread carousel that you need to see to believe! This display is a treat for the eyes, and don't worry—your taste buds will be happy, too. There's a holiday counter where you can purchase delicious festive treats, like Gingerbread Macarons, Peppermint Bark, and my personal favorite: the Linzer Cookie!
No list of the best Christmas decorations is complete without adding
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Their towering tree sparkles, twinkles, and shines in the rustic lobby, which feels like stepping into a picture-perfect postcard. This Resort hotel is on everyone's "favorite list" for a reason, and you will feel the Christmas spirit the moment you enter! If you are looking for the perfect spot to take a Christmas family photo, this is your location!
Gaudencio, this was such a fun question, and I
ho-ho-hope you'll get to visit as many of these spots as possible. There is nothing more magical than The Most Magical Place on Earth during the
holidays! Have the best visit, and please let us know if we can act as Mickey's little holiday helpers and answer any other questions!
Happy holidays!
