Hello! Can we get our luggage delivered from all star movies to shades of green during a split stay?

    Hi Macie,

Welcome to planDisney! I live in Virginia now but am a born-and-raised Maryland girl, so it’s great to connect with you. I’m excited to see you’re planning a wonderful winter escape to the Walt Disney World Resort in February; what a fun thing to count down to just after the holidays! My family's February visits have been some of our favorites given the Florida weather and to break up the winter doldrums at home, work, and school.

I adore a split stay – being able to enjoy two different resort themes and locations during a visit to Walt Disney World is a fun way to differentiate our Disney vacations. Bell Services has always been able to transfer my luggage from one Disney Resorts Collection hotel to another but my stays at Shades of Green have been exclusive to that location. I did some research to learn more, and Shades of Green Bell Services advised that they could receive luggage from other Disney resorts, but Disney Bell Services said they do not provide the service to deliver Guest luggage to Shades of Green at this time. I advise you to ask the Bell Services team at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort when you arrive to confirm the details for your stay but to not plan on this service given the information shared with me today.

If they are unable to transfer your luggage, you can use a rideshare service (such as Uber, Lyft, or Minnie Van Service) the morning of your resort change to personally take your bags to Shades of Green. I've done this for some split stays when I need my bags at a certain time (say, for dinner plans or an afternoon swim) so I am able to manage the timeline of luggage delivery. When you arrive, their Bell Services Team will be happy to hold your luggage securely until you return to your room later that day. You can also take the opportunity to check-in at the front desk to receive your special resort ID card to use the Shades of Green transportation to a theme park for that day.

Knowing we have a split stay makes me want to stay super organized, Macie! I use packing cubes to keep outfits for each resort stay separate, which makes the unpacking-packing-unpacking process much smoother for my family. Be sure to review the wonderful amenities available to you at Shades of Green in advance so you know what’s possible during this part of your stay. Their pools, shops, and restaurants offer a different experience from that of Disney’s All Star Movies Resort so I know you’ll enjoy the variety of food and fun at both!

Please let us know how else we can help you plan the final details of this wonderful visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

    Wishing you a magical stay,
    Amy
