Welcome to planDisney, Laura!
How exciting that you’ll be bringing your little Mouseketeer to Walt Disney World Resort! Mickey and Minnie can’t wait to welcome you to the magic. Be sure to capture all those priceless moments by taking plenty of photos and cherishing every memory.
If you haven’t already, consider adding
Memory Maker to your plans. This incredible add-on lets you enjoy unlimited digital downloads of your family’s photos, including those taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers, on select attractions, and even during character experiences. It’s a great way to ensure every special moment goes home with you!
But let's figure out a way to get you there! When traveling from Orlando International Airport to The Most Magical Place on Earth, a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft might be a good fit. With their apps, you can book a ride on your schedule. Be sure to confirm that a child seat is available for your six-year-old. The advantage of rideshare over a shuttle is that you don’t have to wait for other Guests or make multiple stops—you’ll go straight to your Disney Resort.
Another option is renting a car. Orlando International Airport has plenty of rental companies, and since overnight parking is free for Disney Resort hotel Guests, this might be a choice that suits your family. Having your own car gives you the freedom to drive to the theme parks or
Disney Springs, but with the convenience of the
Disney Skyliner, you may not need one!
One final option is to head back to the nearby airport and take one of the Mears Connect shuttles. I’ve personally used Mears Connect a few times in the past and had a smooth experience each time. It's really easy to make a reservation through their website and they're very helpful over the phone if you need to make any adjustments.
I hope that's helpful, Laura. Have a wonderful time at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort! This is one of my favorite places to stay and I trust you'll love it just as much as I do. Your six-year-old will fall in love with the main pool and splash pad area. You may never want to leave!
Pro tip: Encourage your child to search for the hidden Disney character in the lobby area (I believe it’s Sebastian). If they spot it, they’ll receive a special pin with a sticker as a reward! The character’s location changes daily, making it a fun adventure to look forward to each day—my kids absolutely love it!
