Aloha, Grethel!
Mahalo for stopping by planDisney. Grethel, see the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me, which is why our family has visited Aulani several times. It is my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resort because when the magic of Disney meets the spirit of Aloah, it is very special indeed.
Grethel, I double-checked with Aulani, and you can make payments on your Aulani stay. Similar to the theme parks, if you book a package - which is your Aulani room plus one other thing, such as a hotel transfer, rental car or travel insurance, etc. - then you just need to put down a $400 deposit (subject to change) on your vacation package to hold the reservation and have it paid in full by 30 days prior to your check-in date. You can make payments on your vacation package at any time, as long as it is paid in full 30 days before you check in to Aulani.
If you book a
room-only reservation, then you need to pay for your first night plus tax when you make your room reservation. And the remaining balance is due when you check in. You can make payments as you like prior to your arrival day, but the balance will be due when you check in to the Resort.
Here's a tip for you, Grethel! I always recommend keeping an eye on the
Specials & Offers page on the Aulani website. Sometimes the Resort offers a little bit of extra pixie dust in the form of discounts or special pricing.
I hope this helps you, Grethel! If you have any further Aulani questions, surf back here to see me. At planDisney, you are part of our 'ohana. 'Ohana means family, and that means nobody gets left behind.
