Aloha, Stephen!
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for surfing by with your question. Stephen, see the line where the sky meets the sea, it calls me which is why our family has visited
Aulani several times. You are going to love the Resort because when the magic of Disney meets the spirit of Aloha, it is very special indeed.
Stephen, Aulani hosts the
KA WA'A Luau right at the Resort. It is a wonderful event with cultural activities, delicious Hawaiian fare, and a spectacular show that includes Mickey and Minnie. But it also honors the many stories and traditions of the Hawaiian and Polynesian Cultures. If you do not see any available reservations online, I recommend calling the Concierge desk at Aulani. When we attended last, the luau appeared to be sold out online but when I called, they were able to accommodate us.
If that is not possible, the Paradise Cove Luau is right next door. We have also attended this one and it is one of the best luaus I've been to (in addition to the one at Aulani). You can even walk to it right from the Resort. The Concierge at Aulani may be able to assist you with booking this luau or can provide other recommendations.
Now, Stephen, while visiting Aulani, I highly recommend taking in the spectacular Hawaiian sunsets. One of the best locations to enjoy them is at
'Ama'Ama restaurant, where you can enjoy a delicious Hawaiian meal with locally sourced ingredients in this beautiful open-air restaurant. It was one of our favorite meals on property. No two Hawaiian sunsets are ever the same, but they are not to be missed, so I highly recommend taking one in from this beautiful spot.
I hope this helps you, Stephen! If you have any further Aulani questions, sail back here to see me. At planDisney, we know the way to help you plan the most magical vacation of your dreams. And, we will be so happy to help you.
A Hui Hou (it means "until we meet again" in Hawaiian,)
