I am attempting to send my child’s Disney pass to them via the My Disney Experience app. I get as far as clicking the send arrow in iMessage but under her card pass it says “Pending….” and it won’t actually send. How do I get it out of pending status?

    Hi there, Rebecca!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with a fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It looks like you've just arrived at The Most Magical Place on Earth today! I'm sure you're ready to begin your enchanting escape, so there's no time to waste. Let's dive right into troubleshooting your My Disney Experience mobile app issue!

Rebecca, I walked through the steps to share a Disney MagicMobile pass in the My Disney Experience mobile app to try and recreate the issue you've described. I can confirm that I got stuck at exactly the same point that you did. An iMessage is generated with the pass attached, but the pass shows as "Pending" and the iMessage will not send. Based on this experience, it's possible there may be an issue with the mobile app allowing Guests to share passes at this time. I reached out to the friendly Cast Members at the Walt Disney World Resort Help Desk for assistance, but they indicated that it sounded like an issue with the iPhone vs. the app itself.

One of the Cast Members I spoke with recommended removing the Disney MagicMobile passes from my Apple Wallet and deleting the My Disney Experience mobile app, then re-downloading the app and passes to my phone. Rebecca, after walking through these recommended steps, the issue persisted for me, but I encourage you to try this as well. Alternatively, since it looks like you're already on-site at the Walt Disney World Resort, you could reach out to the friendly Cast Members at a Guest Relations location convenient to you. If you're already enjoying the theme parks, I encourage you to stop by a blue Guest Experience Team umbrella to ask for assistance.

Rebecca, as long as you and your child both have the My Disney Experience mobile app downloaded and you're linked via your Family & Friends Lists, your child should be able to add their Disney MagicMobile pass to their mobile device on their own within the app. Another option would be to purchase a MagicBand for your child to utilize instead of Disney MagicMobile service, or you could stop by a Guest Relations location to pick up a physical card for them to use while on-site.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to provide a definitive answer on this, Rebecca, but I do hope you've found these suggestions helpful. I wish you and your family an incredible and unforgettable vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any additional questions throughout your stay, you're always welcome to revisit us here at planDisney. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
