Welcome to planDisney! I'm glad you brought your question to us. We want your vacation to be smooth sailing from start to finish.
Unfortunately, Disney transportation offered between Port Canaveral and your
Walt Disney World Resort hotel is a service provided through
Disney Cruise Line. You must book this service through Disney Cruise Line and it must be associated with a Disney Cruise Line reservation. But never fear, I have some alternate ideas to offer.
You could consider a ride-share app service or book a private transfer. For a family, these options are sometimes comparable in price to Disney transportation and will deliver you directly to your Disney Resort hotel. Two private transfer companies that I have heard recommended by other Guests are Happy Limo and Tiffany Towncar.
Another option is to
book a one-way car rental from Port Canaveral to the Walt Disney World Car Care Center (listed as Bay Lake, FL, in most reservation portals) from one of the Disney-preferred providers, which currently are Alamo, Enterprise or National.
This is super simple through the Car Care Center rental website. At Port Canaveral, car rental companies offer shuttle service from the port to their rental locations. When you arrive at the
Car Care Center at Walt Disney World, complimentary transportation to your resort hotel is available (and must be arranged in advance). I've driven many times between the port and Walt Disney World and it is an easy drive, especially when you know your destination is magical!
