Hiya William,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney again with your planning questions! October is pure magic at Disney World—truly one of my favorite times to visit. The moment I step onto Main Street and see all those glowing Mickey-shaped pumpkins smiling down at me, I know it’s going to be a spooktacular day. Between the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival serving up cozy fall favorites, the pumpkin-spiced treats tucked into every park, and the mischievously fun
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there’s something for every happy haunt to enjoy.
Now, let’s jump right into your questions like we’re leaping into a pile of autumn leaves! First, for park hours and event details, you can check the
Hours & Events Calendar on the Walt Disney World website. While your trip’s specific hours aren’t posted just yet, they’ll magically appear as your visit gets closer. You can also find park hours right in the
My Disney Experience app by tapping the menu icon, scrolling down, and selecting “Park Hours & Info.” There you’ll see everything from regular hours to early entry, extended evening hours for Disney Deluxe Resort Guests, and special event times.
As for October 23rd, you must be talking about the
runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend! This is one of my absolute favorite events of the year (and I’ll actually be running the half marathon that weekend!). While the races themselves don’t begin until October 24th with the
5K through Epcot, the fun starts the day before with the
Health & Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports. That’s where runners pick up their bibs, shop for exclusive runDisney merchandise, and soak in the pre-race excitement. Even if you’re not running, you can still stop by—the expo is open to everyone.
William, I hope this helps you plan a visit filled with autumn magic, pumpkin-spice smiles, and maybe even a little Halloween mischief. If you think of any more questions while counting down the days to your trip, feel free to visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
